Who we are

This site, Video Editor - Faizan, is a personal portfolio and services website. This policy explains what information the site collects when you use it and what we do with it. To ask a question about your data, use the contact page.

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address and message, so we can reply to you. Messages are stored so we can follow up on your request.
  • Testimonials: if you are invited to leave a testimonial through a private link, we store the details and text you submit. Approved testimonials may be shown publicly on this site.
  • Sign in with Google (testimonials only): to confirm who is writing a testimonial, you may be asked to continue with Google. We then save only your name, email address and profile photo for that testimonial. We do not create an account for you, do not post anything on your behalf, and do not access anything else in your Google account. Your name and photo may be shown next to your testimonial once it is approved; your email address is never shown.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: like most websites, our server records technical details of each request (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
  • Analytics: if you accept cookies, we use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how people find the site. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.

Cookies and local storage

  • Essential: a session cookie and a security (CSRF) token that the site needs to work and to protect forms. These do not track you.
  • Analytics: Google's analytics cookies are only set after you click Accept in the cookie banner. If you decline, analytics storage stays off.
  • Your choice: we remember your cookie choice in your browser's local storage. You can change it at any time using "Cookie settings" in the footer.

Third-party services

  • Google reCAPTCHA protects the contact form from spam. It runs when you use the form and is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms.
  • Embedded videos from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok may set their own cookies when you play them. We do not control those cookies.
  • Google Fonts and CDN-hosted libraries are loaded from third-party servers, which therefore receive your IP address.

How we use information

We use your information to reply to your messages, deliver the services you ask about, keep the site secure, and improve it. We do not sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

Contact messages and testimonial submissions are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for our records, and are deleted on request. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by contacting us through the contact page. You may also withdraw cookie consent at any time.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
